NOTES:
There and Back” is the 4th studio solo album by legendary guitarist Jeff Beck, released in June 1980 through Epic Records. It marks his return after a four-year hiatus following the 1976 album Wired. The album represents a stylistic shift toward instrumental rock while retaining the jazz fusion elements of Beck’s earlier works, Blow by Blow (1975) and Wired (1976).
Beck’s guitar work is notable for his shift to a pick-less, fingerstyle technique, a bold move for a virtuoso, yet his playing remains fluid and expressive.
