Melissa, 1st plate in the Cameos Of Childhood Series - 1978. Avondale Cameo Plate signed by artist Francis Taylor Williams. This is a thick, heavy plate. It has the look and feel of bas relief sculpted stone. It was made by an Incolay process, which I believe involved sculpting of an original, which was next placed in a mold, from which stone powders and coupling agents were combined to make casted copies.
